		<description>I think Descartes was mistaken. He was obviously a great thinker, but never did come to terms with the dualistic nature of thought itself. He stopped at &#039;I think therefore I am&#039; but never asked &#039;who or what is the &#039;I&#039; that is thinking?&#039;. Therefore he stopped in the &#039;illusory desire realm&#039;. For more on that question, see Ramana Maharishi and Nisigardatta Maharaj.

By the way, have a look for a book called &#039;The Shape of Ancient Thought&#039; by Thomas McEvilly. This has detailed comparisons between Greek and Indian philosophy. It is pretty enormous (700pages+) but is great to dip into.</description>
